Ron Trent’s successor and incredibly talented artist who defies genres, AYBEE, will be making his way to VENT!

Possessing a multitude of skills, AYBEE floats across the boundaries of techno, house, experimental, and hip hop, seamlessly. Early on in his career he was anointed by Ron Trent as the new hope of house music, and now this dynamic artist will be dropping knowledge on the ones and twos at Living Leaving, at Omotesando VENT on November 29th!

Born and raised in Oakland, AYBEE was brought up in a family who placed much importance on music, innovation, and artistic exploration. His grandfather ran a small jazz label in New Orleans, and his uncle ran a disco label called Armour in the 1970s. It was the uplifting power of “Black Experience”, and dance that pushed AYBEE to embark on the exploration of himself as an artist in the early 2000s.

In 2001, he founded Deepblak Recordings for the purpose of releasing his work and caught the eye of legendary DJ/producer Ron Trent, and was subsequently signed to Ron and Chez Damier’s label, Prescription Records. Following that, AYBEE and Ron went on to set up Future Vision, a sub-label of Prescription.

Ever since, AYBEE has established himself as one of the most innovative and genre-transcending producers around, and has his name all over many works. With his eye constantly on the future, AYBEE has been in search for deeper truths within the dance experience. His primary mission is to “create sonic situations for us to move, and to be moved.”

The Living Leaving party is a delivers high-quality sounds and experiences, and is organized by the label yygrec, who in the past had a hand in releasing works for Joey Anderson and DJ Qu. They have been inviting a variety domestic and international artists to create a cutting-edge space for many years now.
