Straight out of New Zealand (via London), two revolutionaries for the next generation of House music – get set to have Chaos In The CBD will rock your world!

Catchy rhythms, mellow and blissful melodies, and a touch of jazz reinterpreted in novel ways – this arrangement method is the weapon of choice of the brothers Helliker-Hales, Ben and Louis. Transplants to London from New Zealand, this prolific House duo has been steam rolling through scenes throughout the world. It’s been two years since they have set foot in Japan, and we are proud to host them here at Omotesando VENT, on February 9th!

Their 2015 release from Rhythm Section, “Midnight in Peckham”, was a smashing success, and subsequent releases from Mule Musiq and their own imprint, In Dust We Trust, also created a lot of buzz; and along with that buzz they moved their operations beyond the Southern Hemisphere to Europe and North America, where they are currently very active. Their latest work, “Orange Black”, has been touted as the revival of early 808 State and Underground Resistance and has been flying off record store shelves throughout Japan. This new release shows just how much the duo have refined their production chops and the number of new fans obtained really qualifies this statement.

Chaos In The CBD are showing some tremendous momentum at the moment – from their jazzy to downbeat approaches to studio production of a wide assortment of track styles, starting up and operating their own label, to jet setting around the globe, juggling a busy schedule to consistently deliver top-notch performances, this brotherly duo is on a roll! It’s been two years since their last excursion to Japan, and in that time they have undoubtedly grown.
