James Holden率いるBorder Community一派のTOPアーティスト"Fairmont"がVENT初登場

James Holden率いるBorder Communityからリリースしたバイナル”Gazebo”が２万枚のセールスを超える特大ヒットを記録。続いてTraum、Sender、KOMPAKTなどの人気レーベルから立て続けにリリースした作品群により名を博し、世界を股にかけて活躍するトップアーティスト”Fairmont”が6月30日に開催される、オルタナティブ且つ独創性に富んだラインナップで独自のスタイルを貫く神奈川湘南発のパーティー、“L…deep”に出演決定！

カナダ、トロント出身のプロデューサー／ライブ・パフォーマー／DJである”Fairmont”。パンクロックに影響受けた初期作から、サーフロック、フォーク、クラウトロックの要素を導入した2007年のアルバム『Coloured In Memory』、オカルティックなディスコ、ゴシックなテイストのヴォーカルをフィーチャーした2012年のアルバム『Automaton』等、常に時代の精神を色濃く反映した作品をリリースし、インディ・テクノシーンにおいて数多くの傑作を発表し続けてきたプロデューサーだ。世界中の大陸をツアーで周り、磨きに磨き上げられたトリッピー且つ推進力のあるliveセットを是非、VENTに備えられた強烈なサウンドシステムで体験してほしい。

かつてBorder Communityが発信してきたプログレッシブミュージックを現在において再定義するという事をキーワードに置く今回のL…deep。迎え撃つは今や日本を代表する野外フェス、LabyrinthのレジデントDJ “SO”、孤高の暗黒ミニマリスト”Tomo Hachiga”、L…deepレジデントからは有機的かつエクレティックに音を紡ぎ出す”Iori Wakasa”、ノイズ/テクノを混在させるLive/DJユニット”AUNV”が出演する。また、VENTでは初となるLaser work”3rd EYE Japan”に、VJはL…deepレジデント”5(one)“がオープンエアさながらの奇想に満ちた空間を創出する。

Room2は都内各所において名だたるアーティストとの共演に抜擢され続けているQumico、北関東のアンダーグラウンドシーンよりL…deep open airのメインアクトとしても出演を果たしている”Tmak”、湘南発老舗Partyであるpush…より”Paul T”、そしてL…deepレジデントでありフロアを魔境へと変異させるDJ hiro / TechHoliCs / Pyonにて構成される。

一晩を通して影響範囲内に或る全ての知覚を覚醒へと促し続け、集合意識へのアクセスが可能となるこの一夜は、拡張現実が顕現される特別なものとなるであろう。

The LP Gazebo via James Holden’s Border Community has reached 20,000 in total album sales. His rise to fame is solidified as his subsequent releases from highly regarded labels including Traum, Sender, and KOMPAKT would go on to become some of the most memorable recent hits. This world-leading, renowned artist – Fairmont – will take stage on June 30th at L…Deep, an event in Shonan, Kanagawa Pref., known for its alternative flares and originality in its lineup.

A producer/live performer/DJ out of Toronto, Canada, Fairmont is known for his long list of successful studio work as he vividly defines each era of the indie techno scene with the likes of Coloured In Memory (2007) displaying his early days of punk rock, surf rock, folk, and krautrock influences as well as Automaton (2012) with eerie and gothic discotheque with vocals.

Vibe out to the trippy yet dynamic, masterful live set from this world-touring performer with the powerful sound system only possible at club VENT.

The theme for L…Deep this time around is all about re-defining the current state of progressive music, which originally the Border Community has spread across the globe. Up for this task are; DJ SO – the resident DJ for Labyrinth regarded as one of the best music festivals in the country today, dark minimalist maverick Tomo Hachiga, L…Deep resident DJ and organic/eclectic sound creator Iori Wakasa, and noise/techno live DJ unit AUNV. VENT will also host its first-ever laser work 3rd Eye Japan, as L…Deep resident VJ 5(one) creates a surreal, alfresco atmosphere within the venue.

The Room 2 will feature; Qumico – a regular often performing alongside of Tokyo’s best, Tmak – a previous guest for L…Deep as the main act repping the northern Kanto region’s underground music scene, Paul T – a regular for Shonan’s long-standing party Push…, and L…Deep’s own DJ hiro, TechHoliCs, and Pyon always turning the floors into ominous soundscapes.

This special night is sure to be a mind-blowing world of augmented reality, awakening all your senses and leading you to a deeper collective consciousness.
