Jimpster, founder of Freerange Records that has pumped many a talented artists like KiNK and Detroit Swindle will be making his way to VENT!

Jimpster’s career has spanned over 20 years as a DJ/producer and dance music evangelist. From house to new jazz, deep tech and crossing genres, he runs the ever popular English label Freerange Records, and now he will be coming to Omotesando VENT, on June 29th to play alongside Kuniyuki.

Freerange Records has released works from many a talented artists, including KiNK, Detroit Swindle, Manuel Tur, Shur-i-kan, and Pezznar. Furthermore, Jimpster has set up his own secret label, Delusions of Grandeur, which has released cutting-edge works by Session Victim and Thatmanmonkz, further attesting to the keen ear for music he has. Jimpster is also a member of the improvisational band, The Bays, where he showcases his musical skills.

All of the albums released under his own name have been highly praised, and in his home country of the UK, he’s thrown loads of successful label parties, and as a DJ he’s traversed the globe displaying his mixing chops to hungry audiences. In 2016, he collaborated with Kuniyuki on an EP, which was released to high acclaims for its throbbing yet lofty cinematic soundscapes. In the same year, he dropped the 20-year anniversary label compilation, “20 Years of Freerange”, once again showcasing how overwhelming creative the label is. In 2017, he released his seventh album, “Silent Stars”, after a 2-year production effort. A magnificently produced deep house work with elements of down tempo and ambient interwoven within it.
