One of the most brilliant artists of the contemporary house scene, John Talabot (by the way, even the Fuji Rock mainstay, super band The XX are huge fans) will be coming back to VENT!

We are excited to inform you that Monkey Timers will be throwing yet another Disko Klubb event at VENT on April 12th, and we are very proud and honored to welcome back (last time he performed as part of Talaboman in May of last year) one of house music’s top talents of the time, John Talabot who has been touring with the super popular band The XX!

Talabot’s 2012 debut album “Fin” really skyrocketed his name onto the scene; stunning critics, the media, and fans, making it an instant classic. Notable media outlets like Groove, Pitchfork, Debug, and Resident Advisor all selected Fin as its top album for 2012, proving just how much of an impact it had. And thanks to its breakthrough success, Talabot’s career launched into the stratosphere and he has been booked nearly every weekend to DJ ever since!

Talabot has been deeply influenced by Moodymann, J Dilla, Chicago House, disco, and Northern Soul, these sounds have truly shaped his style, which can be described as an emotional house track that is organic and rich in human felling – once you start listening to it, your body will start moving. Even Pitchfork has praised Talabot as contemporary house music’s foremost artist.
