Taking the reigns along with Omar-S as the next generation and new hope of Detroit, Luke Hess makes his way to Japan!

Luke grew up listening to the Detroit Techno greats like Robert Hood, Carl Craig, Derrick May and UR, and was heavily influenced by Minimal Dub like Maurizio/Basic Channel and Deepchord – now his sound, along with Omar-S, have taken Europe by storm. We welcome Luke Hess to Japan and to VENT!

Luke Hess gained worldwide attention with his release EP01 on Omar-S’ label FHXE back in 2007. Since then, he’s collaborated with Nina Kraviz release their work on Rekids, as well as releasing other brilliant works on labels like Echochord, Kontra-Musik and Planet E. He’s performed at legendary clubs all over the world like Panorama Bar in Berlin and Fabric in London, as well as Detroit’s Movement 2010 festival.

With the trademark relaxed Detroit melody and lofty grooves, as well as a dubby-yet-minimal taste blended in, Luke Hess’ records are consistently placed on the recommended listening racks at record shops all over Japan. The new generation carrying the torch of the legendary Detroit sound will finally grace the decks of Omotesando’s hottest new venue, VENT!
