Marcus Henriksson aka Minilogue, Son Kite, will be popping off 2020 by taking you on a musical journey, only at Omotesando VENT!

Along with Sebastian Mullaert, Marcus Henriksson has made a name for himself, the world over, with the highly acclaimed Minilogue and Son Kite, and now he will be playing at Liquid Drop Groove at VENT, on January 4th! Also on the bill are Kuniyuki, DJ Josko, and Yuta to add some local color to this first event of 2020!

Markus Henriksson is best known as Minilogue and Son Kite. Henriksson began his career in music as a DJ back in 1993. He had fallen head over heels with the rave culture at the time. Since 1999, he has released 6 albums and over 80 singles, and has toured the world over. He has also collaborated with many top artists like Karl Axel Bissler, System 7, Mathew Jonson, and Sebastian Mullaert.

Henriksson’s works are known to be very vivid, tribal-sounding, psychedelic, and hypnotic. The vibrations that emit from his music invite the listener to take a sonic journey with Marcus as the conductor. He is not bound by a specific style or trends. Electronic dance music is linked with nature and brings about joy and is inspirational.

Liquid Drop Groove is an outsider techno label ran by Yuta. Originally, they had been friends with Marcus at the conception stage of the label’s launch, but the real kicker was when they booked Marcus to play at the Hachijojima Take Off Party and the special broadcast on DOMMUNE back in September 2016. In June of 2019, Liquid Drop Groove celebrated its 3rd year of existence with an epic double header featuring Alien Rain and Psyk.

This event, which will be reuniting the two and a return to what started it all for Liquid Drop Groove, will most certainly be a musical journey that will inspire your soul and will be a great way to start off the new decade, so be sure not to miss out!
