The ever-evolving and transforming Prins Thomas who continues to pull the nu-disco scene, will be coming to VENT!

Along with other Todd Terje and Lindstrøm, Scandinavian superstar Prins Thomas has been spreading Nordic nu-disco all over the map. His much-anticipated album “Ambitions” was released this year, and in line with that Prins Thomas will be coming back to Disko Klubb, at VENT, on September 14th!

Hailing from Norway and running both the Full Pupp and Internasjonal labels, Prins Thomas nu-disco sounds are laid-back, reminiscent of the vast, natural, Nordic landscape and the Northern lights. In 2005, he dropped the album “Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas”, with good friend and musical ally Lindstrøm, which took the music scene around the world by storm.

Prins Thomas’ ability and sense with respect to DJing has always been highly regarded – most notable are his super popular mixes. He’s gained a lot of attention for remixing for the likes of Gerd Janson, Ricardo Villalobos, Hieroglyphic Being, The Orb, and Young Marco, among others. Be sure to keep an eye out on his releases! He has collaborated with Dungen, the most important band in the Nordic psychedelic rock scene, and has also worked with jazz pianist Bugge Wesseltoft on a two-piece album – proof positive that Prins Thomas has dipped his hands in many a music genre.

Inspired by the greats like Jaki Liebezeit, Haruomi Hosono, and Ricardo Villalobos, Prins Thomas’ newest album, “Ambitions”, has received much fanfare from both critics and the media! His performances are notable for cinematic – like you’re actually watching a movie – full of narratives and ambiance.
