Raster Media–backed rising talent Milian Mori makes his VENT debut with a live set

A new-generation artist gaining global respect for his cutting-edge productions on Raster Media and well known in Japan for his appearances at MUTEK, Milian Mori makes his first appearance at VENT with a finely crafted audio-visual live set.

Joining him is Nao Tokui, whose career spans projects such as Urbanforest with Nujabes and releases on Fumiya Tanaka’s op.disc. In recent years, Tokui has presented live performances using real-time sound generation AI models at MUTEK and Sónar+D, developing sound performances that emphasize improvisation and physicality. For this show, he presents a live performance using the latest AI hardware pedal from Neutone, a project he is closely involved with, directly connecting sound, body, and technology.

Also appearing is Sakuma, who has steadily expanded his presence through his party Modest and performances at major domestic festivals including Future Terror, rural, Re:birth, and Liquid Drop Groove. Lisa Mizuno, the curator behind this event Resonance, continues her distinctive approach that frames the club experience not as simple entertainment, but as a transformation of consciousness, body, and perception. Through hypnotic grooves that distort the sense of time, she sharpens individual awareness and guides the floor into a shared state of focus.

In Room 2, ASTMA delivers experimental dance music centered on hard, bass-heavy sounds, having previously shared the stage at VENT with DJ KRUSH and Z.I.P.P.O. Kai, founder of the creative platform Mural, has hosted weekday regular events at the former Shibuya venue Contact and continues to expand his activities to spaces such as Daikanyama ORD. Reo Anzai, who has appeared at MUTEK and is also active as a producer for the music collective and label w.a.u, joins the lineup, alongside Kaibshr, who began performing at the underground venue Chitei in Otsuka and moves the floor with genre-defying, distinctive grooves.
