Top producer lauded by the likes of Theo Parrish, Flying Lotus, and Onra - Byron the Aquarius will be making his long-await Japan debut, at VENT on March 8th!

A keys player by trade, Byron the Aquarius shot to global notoriety almost immediately with the release of his “Highlife EP”, which was released on Theo Parrish’s Signature print. Also producing one of FlyLo’s tracks probably helped get him some recognition. Now we’re very proud to have Byron make his Japan debut at Omotesando VENT, on March 8th!

Before Byron embarked on producing his own tracks in 2007, he was a career keyboardist who was adept in various musical styles and genres. What kicked off his career was his 2007 collaboration with the popular (even in Japan) Parisien producer Onra, on their “The Big Payback” EP. This basically launched his production career with subsequent releases on premier labels such as Rush Hour, Warp (in collaboration with Flying Lotus), HHV, Circulations, Reebok Classics a Journey into Future, Real Soon, and Giant Steps Records to name a few.

Sometime in 2015, Byron was working on some music in the studio with Kai Alce and that piece of work got into Theo Parrish’s hands. Theo very much dug the jazz influenced house tracks produced by Byron and released it as the “Highlife EP” on Sound Signature. The EP was a hit and was hitting the charts at record stores all over the world. The following year, Byron recorded the smash hit “Gone Today Here TMRW” off of Kyle Hall’s Wild Oat’s release and that further solidified Byron’s position as one of electronic music’s relevant and important artists.

Byron the Aquarius is no stranger to performing at massive festivals or famous clubs, as he’s been super busy touring globally. So we’re really excited to have him make his Japan debut at VENT!
