Redefining acid techno in the epicenter of modern techno, Italy, Boston 168 is slated to play VENT!

Making full use of classic hardware that contributed greatly to the history of techno to create trippy, cosmic sounds – there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding Boston 168! In their effort to redefine acid techno, the duo will be making an appearance at VENT, on July 26th!

Whether it be Detroit, Glasgow, or Turin, wherever there are large-scale industrial zones, you can find rave culture lurking in the depths. Boston 168 hail from Turin, which has been dubbed Italy’s Motown, and have replaced the clanging and banging sounds of machines and industry into their own style of techno. The duo are truly researchers of electronic music; producing brand new elements of techno over the past several years of experimentation.

In an effort to merge fresh ideas with various experiments to redefine the core principles of techno, they’ve architected their own, unique live set that has resulted in their music being played on the dance floors of warehouses, abandoned factories, and clubs, enshrouding the audience with a cosmic warmth as they dance until the early hours of the morning. They’ve received lots of positive feedback from techno communities all around the world.

Incorporating well-known pieces of hardware like the Roland TR 909, TR 707, TB 303, and the Avalon Abstrakt, to name a few, Boston 168 has been generating sounds that have sent audiences on a techno journey through a new gravitational spaces and sonic black holes!
