Octo Octa and Eris Drew – two figures who exemplify the increasingly diverse and fascinating new house scene – are gearing up for a back-to-back set, at Omotesando VENT on November 1st! Race, gender, values – check these concepts at the door, as we open ourselves up to what house has always been about: having an open mind and being a free spirit!

Brooklyn-based producer, Octo Octa, as soon as her debut work “Let Me See You” was released in 2011, it created a massive buzz on dance floor worldwide, as well as boosting the notoriety of the 100% Silk label to almost immediately in one fell swoop. Having also released on Argot and Running Back, Octo Octa’s work has been widely recognized as being beautifully and carefully crafted art that have the ability to devastate dance floor. With a residency at Manhattan’s Red Bull Academy, she’s also performed at Robert Johnson in Frankfurt, as well as at Sonar in Barcelona. In 2018, she was featured in Mixmag’s “DJs of the Year”.

Eris Drew is a DJ and producer hailing from Illinois. She’s released on the Naive label out of Portugal, and last year she started the all-night event in the US called “Psychedelic Rites of the Motherbeat”, held in Pittsburgh and Seattle. She’s also been a longtime resident at Chicago’s Smart Bart, and along with her partner Octo Octa they’ve been busy performing back-to-back sets. A devotee to the history of rave culture and shamanism, Eris is also a spokesperson for the transgender culture of her generation.

Octo Octa and Eris Drew will be performing at the third party organized by Mayurashka and Mari Sakurai, who have up to now invited Clara 3000 & coni, and Elena Combi. Women’s fashion culture magazine PERK will be lending their support for this party, as before. It will most certainly be an amazing, one-of-a-kind party with Octo Octa and Eris Drew at the helm – don’t sleep on this one!
