Emerging artist from Buenos Aires, Sol Ortega made her big break on Boiler Room, and has gained support and encouragement from Maceo Plex, and now she will be coming to VENT!

Ortega got her big break back in 2018 when her set was recorded during the Richie Hawtin Boiler Room session, in at her native Buenos Aires! She is an up-and-coming star with a lot of promise, a real player who is leading the future of Latin American techno, which there has been an uptick of as of late, and now she will be making her first trip to Japan to play for us at VENT, on February 8th.

Sol Ortega has been performing at various events across her native Argentina since she was 16 years old. Focused on researching various music production techniques and mixing, she took up residency at Under Club in 2014 and was given the opportunity to DJ alongside highly influential artists from all over the globe, like Kevin Saunderson, FJAAK, Zenker Brothers, Exos, and Marcelus, opening the doors to the whole of the South American scene.

2018 saw a huge change. At the second Boiler Room session ever held in Buenos Aires, Ortega found herself on the same stage as Richie Hawtin, she also released “The Blue Club” on wax, and she played all over the globe at famous clubs and festivals, like Tresor, Berghain, Concrete, PAL, Kompass, Toffler Festival, MMA, and The Block.

Her tracks have won the support of the likes of Maceo Plex, Patrice Scott, and Danny Tenaglia. The South American electronic music scene has been gaining more and more attention over here in Japan, and we are super excited to be hosting the future leader of that scene, Sol Ortega, at her first ever performance in Japan, only at VENT!
